“The Jade City” is the first novel in The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee. I listened to the audiobook and while it was quite long, I did enjoy this novel. “The Jade City” follows the story of an Asian family trying to protect their territory and heritage of jade mining and owning. Lee does an excellent job of painting the world that is the island of Kekon and telling the story of the people who inhabit and control the different areas. I would recommend this to any adult looking for a good fantasy read that follows multiple characters.
