I personally found the first book better (although this is also brilliant) because everything seemed to be more connected and hence, the whole story was more fucked up and everything came more unexpectedly. Apart from that, the first book discusses serious issues like outing Someone without them being ready or homosexuality in sports or class differences or how rich people have advantages in the justice system because of their wealth. However, there are also important issues discussed in this novel and Karen McManus has written a grabbing and thrilling story.
Moderate: Murder
Minor: Addiction, Alcohol, Death, and Hate crime
