I didn't think it would be possible to like book 2 even more than Butcher & Blackbird but I did. Lark Montague
Kane
had my heart from the last story already but seeing how her and Sloane are two wonderful artists practicing in different mediums, the difference between a sculptor and a musician. It's amazing and supportive and every bit of girl power I could wish for in a book about serial killers. Leather & Lark did a great job of balancing adding details to what we already knew and introducing this entirely new story. Lachlan is a big pushover for Lark and isn't that the epitome of what we want from our morally grey men? a bad boy that'll be a good boy just for her. Lark's personal hellfire of glitter and resin is so *chefs kiss* and I could forgive every food faux pas but I ugly cried when Bentley was in danger, and then again nearly every chapter after that until the end.
