I could not put this book down. I devoured it in one sitting. it’s sharp, witty, and, at times, sad. it is alive. I was particularly impressed by character dialogue, including Phoebe’s inner dialogue, how natural it flowed and real it felt. every single character felt real and three dimensional.
as an added bonus, I feel a camaraderie with the author, like we both read another book, not naming names (but it may rhyme with shmidnight shlibrary), and had the same empty, unimpressed reaction… but then she turned around and wrote this masterpiece. mad respect from me.
