I’d never heard of Tendler and I barely know who John Mulaney is. After seeing other reviews, I almost didn’t read this, but I’m so glad I did. While reading I kept waiting to be annoyed, and I never was. I kept looking for some harsh, line-crossing, anti-man rhetoric beyond a sentiment of hating patriarchy and what men have done to the world that never came. The way she wrote about her childhood and teen experiences resonated so deeply it felt eerie. It was all just, real.
