Picture Me Gone by Meg Rosoff

2.0

I find myself in the unusual (for me) situation of not really having anything to say about a book. I read Picture Me Gone this week, and found it a totally fine reading experience -- but never felt a real connection to the story or the characters. Mila goes to the US with her dad to look for her dad's friend who's gone missing. She realizes all sorts of things about herself, her parents, her friends, other people in general. That's about it. There's some lovely writing and interesting passages, but in general this book gets a big *shrug* from me.

Which is too bad, really, since I've read all of Meg Rosoff's previous novels, and really loved a few of them. Can't win 'em all, I guess.
