I meant to go to bed ages ago but I HAD to finish this book. One of my favorite things is when there’s multiple perspectives and then the characters all come together for a bigger plot purpose. Or when all the characters end up helping each other whether wittingly or not. There’s such good character development in this book, too! Manon is such a good example of growth.
And speaking of which, a huge theme is making changes, starting anew, and forging a different path forward even when it’s scary and I love that.
I almost feel like the series could end here and it would be a fitting end but I suppose there are still some pesky monsters to deal with.
And Elide, I do want to see more of her.
Also, Chaol does not deserve the hate he gets. He is so human, and that makes it all the more admirable when he sticks up for his friends.
I can’t wait to get my hands on the next books.
