At this point, this entire series is five stars. So far, I have enjoyed every single book and the couples are to die for. I don’t know what Lauren Blakely is doing to her books, but I swear every book just gets better and better. The fact that each character has a specific act of kindness is killing me… like Wes washing his hands before looking for Josie… or Asher sending gifts to Maeve every anniversary week.
I really enjoyed the aspect of them starting as friends and how they slowly fell for each other through the years without realizing it. I really enjoyed how they both complimented each other's personality, especially when they had a chaotic adventure in mind. They felt like true partners in crime and I really enjoyed seeing them realize their feelings for each other.
This book follows the third girl-friend of the group, Maeve, and her best friend and hockey player, Asher Callahan. They have been best friends for ten years after meeting in a grief support group. In an event to save Asher’s reputation, Maeve bids for him in an auction, winning a trip to Las Vegas, where they both get married.
They plan to get divorced once they get back, but things start getting complicated when they go viral for doing an act of kindness and Maeve lands her dream job for a Mural.
