From the first page I could tell this would be a good book and it didn’t disappoint at all! The story is revealed in parts throughout the chapters so you don’t quite get the full picture until the author was ready for you to.

The development of fathers character was really cleverly done as we never get a first person POV but we can still get a feel for how his mental state was and how it lead to the events described.

Full of twists and turns that weren’t super predictable kept it fresh and kept my concentration on what was happening.

My main critique would be that the chapters were quite long and in parts the author went from past to present without it being super clear until a few sentences in, leading to some minor confusion in parts.

Overall a really solid read, would recommend!
