I love that it has a similar vibe to the first one. I love how Lark is so fun and playful with her “multiple deletions”. I loved the light heartedness of this dark rom com. It’s truly like nothing else.
My biggest issue however was the villain. He just didn’t seem relevant to this particular story. It didn’t feel like there was enough skin in the game for Lark and Lachlan. I think he probably should’ve been a villain for Sloane and Rowan if they ever got a pt.2
Overall I really did enjoy this book. It’s not as spicy as the first one and the timeline went really fast. Some of the bonding between lark and Lachlan was off page and I wish we would’ve gotten to see them in domestic settings. Also I would’ve loved more leather work content.
