This is a good overview of the growth of the KKK in the 1920's and also some information about it's impact in Oregon. I think we have done some better linking of the Lost Cause movement to the effort to control public education, and that connecting the dots to the efforts of the KKK would added some interesting context to this book, but it's good without it. There are a lot of good observations here.
