I'd give this 2.5 stars. The author has talent, the set up is intriguing. I just struggled with the feeling that the author was tossing in weird explanations or descriptions of things to seem poetic or something?? It kept my interest even though this is the first book I've read on a tablet (real book lover here). The app I read it on included Destroy Me at the end of Shatter ME, and I genuinely enjoyed that book about Warner and his perspective. But you have to read Shatter Me first. I'm glad I read it after the tiktok hype, but this is not one I would read again. But I'm SO glad I didn't buy it. Will I continue the series? I think I will.
