The format of this book is incredible, with my only gripe being the font decrease when a news article appears, but I can’t deduct stars for the fact I’m a blind bastard.
You can tell this book was published recently but that only adds to it I feel. Reading this book in a decade will probably have a different reaction from me, so I’m grateful to have read it so soon after release, however the main core of this story and the point it makes has been the same since the dawn of time.
I finished this book and had to go immediately to my flatmates room to discuss it. Initially I was divided, unsure how it left me feeling. Within 20 minutes I was putting the book on her bedside table for her to read next. Araminta Hall drags your head up from the sand in which you’ve buried it to enjoy your dark thriller, and tells you to open your eyes, take in the world, and be angry about it. Many books I read I do so to escape the horrors, this book comes into your house and throws the horrors at you. This is a litmus test for any man entering our lives and their opinion on it will tell me more than a hinge prompt ever could.
