Riveting. Heartbreaking. Endlessly hopeful while simultaneously hopeless. I’ve never read a sadder book yet I could not put it down. I’m not sure how I’m going to recover from reading “A Little Life”. I don’t know if I’ll ever recommend it to another soul yet I want to scream “drop what you’re doing and read this book now!” from the top of the highest mountain. The characters, as flawed as they all were in their own, unique, ways, will stay with me for a long time, especially Jude St. Francis.
