The Light of Paris by Eleanor Brown

This was a different story in the sense that you don't always see characters such as Madeleine. Her always doing things because of what other people wanted or appeared to want for her really struck me. I've always been able to follow my heart in what I've wanted to do with my life and who I chose to marry. It was good to see her gain courage to be herself as the story went on. I love the new life she achieved by standing up for herself and what she wanted. The art and writing aspect of this story really hit home for me as well. You should never give up on the things you love.
