The tried and true dynamic that Dessen has successfully delivered again and again, I enjoyed this book because it is the first one that Dessen has allowed the main character to be a little naughty.
Spoiler The fact that she is crushing on a boy at home while her serious boyfriend is away at camp is a new phenomenon for this author.
