This book tells the story of a couple broken by the choices they’ve made — Birdie always putting her family’s needs above her own and Jack always putting his own needs before his family’s. Both have to learn to live and love again in order to keep their family together and live the lives they are meant to live. The story-telling is beautiful, the characters are real, and the story is the story of hundreds of middle-aged husbands and wives.
