This love story was in the making for a LONG time and I was excited to find out why bar owner Sawyer kept West at arm's length. Luckily, the hottie construction crew member did not give up so finally they got their happy ending!
West (26) has been hopelessly attracted to Sawyer (40) but finally, after months of asking him out, he gives up and accepts the older guy as his best friend. And while the sexual charge is there, shimmering between the two of them, nothing happens for a couple of years … until suddenly Sawyer kisses him in a jealous rage when West decides to finally move on and date. Sawyer has his hidden reasons for saying no to West, even though he wants the younger guy badly. He accepts West’s offer to help him renovate his house … which might not be the best idea given the push and pull they go through. They were hot hot hot together but man, Sawyer was a stubborn idiot, and no matter how amazing poor West was he still held on to his fears. This book was full of so many cute surprises, hello lace lingerie, decades-old mystery letters, and fuzzy baby animals … but what was not a surprise at all was how much I enjoyed it. This series has been such a delight, I cannot wait to read the next book!
