This book describes a dystopia in which only the healthiest choice is an acceptable one. For every other choice one is being punished and hold accountable.
“Corpus Delicti” discusses the importance of the right to be an individual, even if it’s not for the greater good.
The story follows Mia Holl whose brother wrongly died at the hands of 'the Method'.
After a while Mia starts to understand her brother’s critique of 'the Method' better and begins questioning her own opinions concerning this political system.
She learns to live by her own beliefs and accepts the consequences that her behavior has / takes full responsibility for her actions.

Especially nowadays, in times of the pandemic, I find myself pondering upon the same question that is discussed throughout this book and to which it tries to find an answer:

How far should and can a government go to 'protect' its inhabitants by limiting the freedom of the individual?
