This book was SO GOOD.

I greatly enjoyed Sage's story and I really hope we see more of her in the series. Her son is made out to be pretty important, so I really hope they bring Sage back too.

Sage goes from submissive child desperate for approval to utter badass ready to bring the world to it's knees. She goes through so much and is generally an all round likeable character.

As with the previous novella, the romance happened too fast for my tastes, and thinking on it, was very similar to Tessla and Vale's story. In terms of their attraction. But, it is a novella.

This line in the story absolutely got me:

"But they never told me the Evil One's would be a small, terrified child, clutching a worn rag doll."

I had much emotion around this line and had to issue reading for a bit. It was such a powerful line.

All in all. A very enjoyable read.
