THE COMPOUND was a very unique story. The tension throughout the book made me want to keep reading to find out what happened. I enjoyed THE LORD OF THE FLIES vibes and LOVE ISLAND aspects. They blended together well and made for an intriguing story. Overall, I felt this was a decent read with some messages on how we view ourselves and each other in consumer culture.
