The Meltdown was watered down. I teach 4th grade and enjoyed these books when I was in middle school. One of my students loaned me the new one to read and I cant help but wonder if there was a ghost writer. All of the old elements are there but instead of an over arching story, it reads more like short comics about winter that don’t always sync together. My students still love it of course.
