this one's for the horse girls

As always, the messages that these books tackle are really impressive and a great display of diversity. I don't enjoy these background stories as much as I do the more central plot, mainly because the pacing is very bizarre. The imagery of this installment wasn't as vivid for me as past ones which was disappointing. Since this was the first installment following a character we've never met, I am interested to see how the series continues.
