3.5 stars. i picked this after katabasis and so this seemed SO simple and water down compared to that, but it was still a good story nonetheless. the plot was good, pretty cookie-cutter but still good, i feel like the story between Alina and the Darkling was so glazed over, almost like it wasn’t there? like they went from not talking to kissing, kinda weird and felt like there were alot of pieces missing. maybe its just because i read katabasis and that book is… rough. no much else to say, excited to finish the series so i can watch the show.
