A terrific ending to a terrific sequel! This is a meatier book than the others in the series, but it is jam-packed with high-stakes, soaring highs and devastating lows, and nail-biting action and adventure that keeps you guessing until the very end.
The interludes were executed perfectly to ratchet up the tension with each installment, keeping me thoroughly stressed in the best possible way. Although the romance didn't play out quite as I hoped from the last book, it was done very well, and I found myself tearing up by the end - always a sign of a great read in my opinion.
I'd highly recommend this series for any fans of fantasy, especially those looking for a fresh, new magic system and a world that feels truly alive.
