An interesting look at the sheer lack of salaciousness of Wallis Simpson’s year in China and the possibility of her having been a courier or spy for financial reasons (supporting her lifestyle in expensive hotels, for instance.) Unfortunately, I just can’t separate this Wallis from the Wallis that became a visible Nazi supporter once married to David (Edward VIII). Still, a solid book.
