Beastly by Alex Flinn

3.0

A modern day retelling of beauty and the beast. That's it. That's the whole plot. Nothing really new, unique, or different. She attempted a twist which could've been cool but she didn't do enough with it and it was really obvious.

I couldn't stand Kyle at the beginning and it made it really hard to care about him. He got better but it was rather depressing until Lindy got there.

I wish I could say I liked any of the other characters, but not really. Sure, his tutor and maid were sort of nice. The girl, Lindy, was Belle. She liked to read, she was mad about being "kidnapped" and that's about all there was to her character. Their friendship was sort of cute, but I didn't really care if they got together or not.

In the end, it was entertaining enough and a quick read, so I'd read this author again.
