i never warmed up to kaleb because the sa thing in the beginning was NEVER seen as sa, he didn’t apologise, they fucking joked about it it disgusted me
besides of the weird dynamics the smut was heavenly which saved everything because the plot was not it
i’m tired of nonverbal characters overcoming their trauma just by falling in love
it’s not a quirk you can give your character to add some desperation but take away as soon as the relationship settles
nonverbals are real and complex humans that can have a life with those communication differences and they don’t need a fix
i’d wouldn’t bother me as much if that wouldn’t happen in every book with nonverbals
