I absolutely loved this book.
And I’m ashamed so say I only found out about this book series not too long ago after thinking it was just a TV show.
It was quite intense reading but I didn’t want to put it down, instead I lost myself for hours in the adventures of Claire and Jamie.
It was everting I wanted it to be and more. Historical, romance, strong characters, and it emotionally tore my heart.
At times I found Claire annoying with her selfish/sassy personality, and Jamie Fraser, well... he’s perfect.
I can see why some readers might be offended at certain scenes, but you have to understand that in that day and age to treat spouses in such a way would have been seen as normal and expected. I certainly wasn’t offended by any of it, sometimes I could even see justice in it.
I will 100% be carrying on with the series, however I need a little break from it just to process it all!
