This installment of the series was even cozier, which I didn't even think possible!

This kept the same wonderful coziness of the first book. It follows Anne as she tackles the challenges of going to college. New lovable characters are introduced and old characters are fleshed out even more. Anne finds herself in her first romantic relationship and watches as her friends find their ways through their own as well.

I truly loved the bittersweetness of growing up in this novel. Anne wants everything to stay as it did and can't bring herself to see that the world continues to spin on and things continue to change. I felt like I related to her in that aspect. I sometimes just want to freeze all my happy moments like a snapshot. Bottle them up and store them somewhere to age well. However, memories don't age like wine. Sometimes, you can outgrow memories. <spoilers>She wishes she and Gilbert can just remain good friends, even when she has started to develop feelings for him. Because he doesn't fit her childish ideal, she rejects the idea completely. </spoilers>However, she soon finds that while childish ideals and dreams and fairy tales were wonderful, there is something still more wonderful in finding bits and pieces of it in the real world.
