Ok so this might be my favorite of the series. I actually really liked the ghost element in this story. Each book in this series has gotten a little more into the paranormal. I didn't like the element much in the last book, but it worked for me in this one. Alex has taken his families history the hard way, he's struggled to connect to anyone and found his life failing down a bottle. He's bitter and angry most of the time. But meeting Zoe has opened up a crack in his wall. Having an instigating ghost trying to figure out his own past as well as push Alex into his future was kinda fun.

This is a bit of a heartbreaking story too as Zoe's dealing with her grandmother's failing health. Zoe's determined to do the best by her grandmother and Alex finds himself drawn in more and more, willing or not. I enjoyed watching him fall in love, reluctantly, until he just couldn't escape the fact that he has feelings.

I really enjoyed this book, ghost elements and all.
