Starts off pretty slow, and the pace remains throughout the book, but the world building is incredible. This is a disturbing novel that is beautifully written and well thought out. While the twists are not surprising, they are foreshadowed well, and fun to figure out.
Although I did gasp when Crake killed Oryx. Very well done, I think.
My only qualm was that the present tense with Snowman and the Crakers is a little dull. I loved the flashback moments so much.
