Let's Talk About Love by Claire Kann

emotional funny lighthearted reflective medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? Character
  • Strong character development? Yes
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? Yes
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

3.5

Honestly, at this point, if you tell me there's an
ace main character I will read it and probably cry. Was the
writing style my favorite? No. Alice felt a little immature for
my reading tastes. But oh my god was it good to read
about an asexual character exploring romantic
relationships! Claire Kann hit the nail on the head in
regards to how it feels trying to come out as asexual, at
least for me. I absolutely cried several times. Overall, this
was a 3.5 star read for me, but I'm glad I read it, and I look
forward to reading more ace stories in the future.

Things I liked:
•Ace Main Character
•Her whole life (good and bad) didn't revolve around her
love interest
•Diverse characters

Things I didn't like:
•Somewhat cringey/immature "dialogue" (internal and
external)
•Less plot, more slice of life
•I wish it dove into her other relationships more

If you're looking for an asexual romance, I think this is a
good option.
