I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would. The last book I read by this author was a little disappointing, but this book was really good. The story was paced really well, which I think can be hard to do in a mystery. Sometimes I’m left feeling like the conclusion came together too fast, but I did not feel that with this book. The characters are pretty interesting. They probably won’t stick with me forever, but they were likable and pretty well developed. I felt like each of them existed as individuals as well as a part of the group, which I loved. The only thing I didn’t love was one of Cal’s storylines. I would love nothing more than for writers to stop writing relationships between students and teachers. Also, the fact that nothing really happens to her is really upsetting Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this book, and I would recommend it for fans of mysteries.
Graphic: Murder and Death
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship
