Adore a good friends to lovers

When they met, their explosive chemistry led Cash and Nick to an intense weekend together. But then life - and Nick's new FBI career - pulled them apart and they became friends. Scared to risk their friendship, and knowing they can't give each other what they need with Nick working all over the country, 12 years have gone by. But Cash still hasn't got over Nicky.

Now Nicky turns up, injured, burnt out and feeling broken. And perhaps they do both want the same thing.

I adore a good friends to lovers and this hit the spot, even if it was technically hook-up to friends to lovers

I also loved the reflections on how the age gap was an obstacle when Nick was a 25 year old starting out in his FBI career, but 12 years later, no longer matters.

The found family of Redemption Ridge is wonderful, and the storyline with the cult church and Cash's back story was brilliant. Not quite my favorite of the series but I am here for Nick + Cash!
