🔪 The Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix 🔪

Years after their tragedies, the survivors of mass murders (also known as final girls) meet with one another to try and push past their traumas. Will they be able to keep the past behind them or will the worlds fascination with Final Girls lead to more hardship?

I read this through audio and I… didn’t care for it :/ I LOVED Hendrix’s other book about vampire book club or something. But this one felt a little all over the place. It felt like there was an idea and premise there somewhere but it wasn’t executed really well. There’s a twist that I saw coming WAY too early, but then it was taken away for another twist that wasn’t set up at all, just for the first twist to then come up as also true. I just didn’t care for it. Then to make it worse I think the audiobook performance was subpar.

Are these unpopular opinions? What does everyone else think?
