Seven Days in June by Tia Williams

5.0

Seven Days in June by Tia Williams is the steamy story of two famed Black novelists Eva Mercy and Shane Hall over the course of seven days. Eva puts on the front of Successful Perfect Author and Mother whereas Shane is the Mystery Get Away With Anything Author. After 15 years, they suddenly meet again and the energy between them is palpable.

Told through chapters chunked into the days of the week from Sunday to Saturday, each day bringing new highs and new lows. And plenty of steamy and sensual moments. Will Eva and Shane reunite their flame from 15 years ago or will they run away from their connection once more?

Eva, Shane, and their supporting characters each have their struggles and strengths but all are lovable and special in their own ways. This novel is a page turner and hard to tear away from. As an added bonus, it's a book about authors and I -love- books about literary things.
