Mr Tilney is a great male love interest. He sees the protagonists heart and her worth, despite her immaturity, delusion, mistakes and lack of striking conventional beauty. He is honest with her, respecting her questions and capacity to grow, yet does not push her - he waits for her to mature on her own adventure, and to realize she is in love with him, too. Beautiful, realistic love story. As always, Austen is funny. Would recommend for any reader, especially younger women who can relate to the stage of life of the protagonist.
