Hush Hush
by Laura Lippman
I thought I knew who the killer was before page 150 and was pleasantly surprised to find out I was wrong. That twist is what gave Hush, Hush its 4th star.
Lippman is a good storyteller but her insistance in making our hometown a character in this series drives me crazy. Sometimes I feel like I'm reading a Trip Advisor review instead of a novel. Maybe it's because I grew up there, maybe it's because I'm a cranky old lady but it makes me nuts. I digress. ... the story is solid, I'm really liking Kitty and Sandy's back stories being explored but I miss Whitney.
