Qissat: Short Stories by Palestinian Women by Jo Glanville

dark emotional funny informative lighthearted reflective sad fast-paced
A great variety of writers and voices. I also learned why short stories are more popular in Palestine than in other parts of the world. The stories in this anthology are not only informative, but also entertaining, funny, political and serious. I think there's something to find for every reader.

As with every anthology, the quality of the writing has its ups and downs, also I'm not sure how much might have been lost in translation. I also have no knowledge whatsoever what is to be considered a good story in Palestine, therefore I decided not to give a star rating.
