The Crimson Moth by Kristen Ciccarelli
4.0
I really enjoyed the story. It is easy to understand and you are thrown into the conflict right away. The story follows Rune, who is a witch, and Gideon, who is a witch hunter. I would categorize the story as a dislike to lovers to enemies, which I loved. I like how it ended and how it set up the story for the second book and I can’t wait for the romance and the hunt.
There was more buildup to an even bigger conflict which is the last hundred pages of the book, we get a plot twist which I did figure out before hand. I was very proud of myself for figuring it out but I did enjoy how everything started to add up.
Now let me talk about the characters:
So Gideon, this poor man has gone through so much. I understand his motives throughout the whole book he would go back-and-forth in his beliefs but I totally understand why he would doubt himself so much. I want the best for him and for his fantasies to become realities.
