Whereabouts by Jhumpa Lahiri

4.0

I found Jhumpa Lahiri’s latest book beautiful and so easy to find myself in the vignettes. A book that takes life’s ordinariness, and opens up the profoundness of human moments. Told by an unnamed narrator, we experience a year in her life in her unnamed city. The writing revealed the similarities between solitude and loneliness, independence and estrangement, and the loss and gain of change.
