Review
Listened to this book for my LitWit's Book Club.

I'm not really into mysteries, so I dove with a pretty low bar.

So the story basically goes like this:
The protagonist runs away from after she decides to sleep with a married man out of spit. Her dad didn't want to pay for her education. She then goes and lives in women's homes and ends up with Lady Watson as her companion. They try to figure out 3 murder cases and eventually
Spoilerfigure out they all tied to one major case
.

I did like how independent Charlotte tried to be. She wanted to help both her older sister and younger sister. I could relate to that. The rest of the characters were pretty likeable, or at least their involvement in within the story actually made since. There was subtle romance, which I didn't mind.

Kate Reading does a great job in the narration. If she keeps narrating the audio version, I may follow the series.
