The Devouring by Simon Holt
5.0

Two words. Awesome. Book. Really. Fine, three words. But still. I really enjoyed this book. Hopefully Simon Holt will write some more awesome books like this. But anyway, when I started reading this book, it was at night, before I was going to sleep, and I just got to that part where Henry/Vour causes Reggie to hallucinate tons of disgusting spiders. And because I'm the type of person to easily freak out, I was really creeped out about it. And this was right before I went to bed. So it was even worse. I actually had some nightmares, thinking that the Vours would come out and get me. The only semi-reassurance that I had was the fact that it wasn't Sorry Night so I was like, "Ok. No problem." That was before I thought: What if Simon Holt was wrong? And Sorry Night is really Jan. 7th? So...I got freaked out even more. Yea, I know, stupid me. I tend to psych myself out. But anyway, even though I was scared the entire night and couldn't fall asleep, the next day, I was reading it again. First thing in the morning. So it must mean that this book is really, really good and very addicting. This is why I encourage this book to EVERYONE. And I mean EVERYONE. This is going to be in my top 25 book list at the end of the year. Definitely.
