King of Battle and Blood by Scarlett St. Clair

2.0

This is pretty bad with a lot of ridiculous moments. The writing is over the top and the mythology and world building is lacking and a bit disorganized. Also has the most toxic couple ever.
There were a lot of times where the plot got kinda lost?? So many moments that never got resolved and I was left with more questions than answers. And the plot twist was melodramatic at best—despite the author dropping hints along the way—but then also it was just never explained why that happened.
It is definitely not the most thought provoking book ever, or at all.
I still ate it up for some reason when I should’ve just DND’d it.
