I just couldn’t do it anymore. I do not like Miriam, I do not like War, nor believe he has any redeeming qualities or character arc that I could believe in. I just don’t care anymore. This book is basically Miriam’s inner monologue about how she thinks War is SOOOO hot and wants to fuck him, but she knows she shouldn’t feel that way cause he’s literally the biggest fucking asshole who doesn’t care AT ALL that he is murdering children/women/humanity. I’m supposed to believe she can forget ALL OF THAT and fall for this dude? Nah. Pestilence at least felt bad about what he was doing and the relationship in the first book felt believable. This one? It’s fucked up and I don’t buy it. Moving on.
