Mr. and Mrs. Bunny--Detectives Extraordinaire! by Polly Horvath

3.0

So, this book was kind of terrific and super, super weird. It's definitely not for everyone. Reminded me of some of Pinkwater's weirder stuff. There were some hilarious lines, the whole subplot about how stupid marmots are had me rolling. The rabbits assume the girl's parents are dead because they've read a lot of kids books and the parents are ALWAYS dead, just lots of winks and nods at the genre. Why only 3 stars? The story-by that I mean the plot- didn't work that well for me. But it was certainly worth reading. Give this to that weird 3rd grader who reads at a 9th grade level.
