I wanted to like it. New amazons, cool characters, yes! But the writing was disjointed and read like the outline of a story. All the characters were flat and it was hard to remember who was who, which ain’t great when you introduce five new amazons as supporting characters. I felt like a lot happened off stage. Also, having the amazons speak in a modern tone was jarring. Maybe that’s my problem.
