An interesting book but I didn't realise that so much of the book would be talking about the family's opera company rather than the hotel. (I would have enjoyed more on the hotel itself.)

The pacing was inconsistent- the 60s through the present sped by, whereas the 1910s-1940s made up the bulk of the book.
