A Bargain for Frances by Russell Hoban

5.0

A decent moral-based story that doesn’t overlook children’s ability to be mean and manipulative on purpose. The pain felt is also addressed in a respectful way.

Mother Tongue notes: The print is large, making it easy to help new students who need assistance. Plenty of repetitive words without the story becoming repetitive. American coins and their value may need to be explained.
